As we all face challenging times, we want to ensure that those who need end of life and grief and bereavement support receive the best we can give within the parameters that have been set.
Until the end of March, the Castlegar Hospice office will be open limited hours. All new client assessments and family meetings will take place by phone, videoconference or email. All ongoing communication with current client families will take place via phone. Contact with palliative clients will be limited and will be determined by accessibility in facilities. All grief support will take place via phone. There will be no grief support meetings, walks or office meetings. There will be no community education, training or guest speaking. These will be re-evaluated every two weeks as we move forward in a rational manner. Our upcoming events such as Hike for Hospice and the Classic Rock Classic golf Tournament will be determined as the time gets closer.
